Green Campus worm composting
Attention educators, church staff, and non-profit teams in West Michigan! Good Sweet Earth Grassroots invites you to join our vermicomposting initiative, Green Campus. We'll provide an easy-to-use Urban Worm Bag for your location, helping you turn organic waste into a nutrient-rich soil amendment. We'll provide everything you need at no cost. Simply submit an application, and if selected, our team will conduct an on-site workshop to guide you through setup. We'll also cover the cost of all the worms you need and provide ongoing support to answer questions and troubleshoot. Take a step towards sustainability – apply now!
The Green Campus program is open to any elementary, middle or high school classrooms (one per school) in public, private or charter schools located in Kent, Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon Counties. West Michigan churches and nonprofit organizations are also encouraged to apply. Worm bins can be fed coffee grounds, plant-based food scraps and scrap paper. Participating organizations can then use the finished vermicompost however they wish.
Space in the Green Campus program is limited. Submit your application below. Applications will be reviewed monthly, and selected organizations will be notified by email. If your organization or school isn't accepted, you are welcome to re-apply monthly.
