This is how the healthy lawn movement grows

From an empty space to a community hub: your donation gets the Organic Lawn Center ready for West Michigan.

We're excited to share some big news! In late 2026, West Michigan will be getting a hub built entirely around organic lawn care and pollinator-friendly yards.

Picture this: neighbors gathering at Good Sweet Earth’s new Organic Lawn Center in Holland for a class on soil health, buying pollinator-safe seed and fertilizer and soil amendments, learning about natural pest control options, and leaving with the knowledge they need to grow a lawn they can feel good about.

Before that can happen, though, the space needs a little work. We need to raise $7,125 for paint, cleaning, updates, equipment, and signage. Once we meet our funding goal and renovations are underway, we'll start holding classes throughout the fall and winter, with a full opening of the retail and classrooms spaces in spring 2027.

A gift to Good Sweet Earth’s Organic Lawn Center is:

Tangible. You’ll be able to walk into the Organic Lawn Center and physically experience what your donation dollars have done.

Local. Your gift to the Organic Lawn Center creates a resource for West Michigan; it puts your dollars with local businesses and tradespeople doing the renovations; and it helps protect West Michigan's ecosystem.

Immediate. Your gift goes directly toward our opening this fall, not into a general fund for “someday.”

Lasting. A gift today helps establish infrastructure that will be here for years to come.

Efficient. Your gift does double duty. It gets the Organic Lawn Center open to the public while keeping our program dollars right where they belong: funding the lawn program, pollinator protection, seed distribution and community resources.
