Coming soon to West Michigan: The Organic Lawn Center
Good Sweet Earth is opening a one-stop-shop for organic lawn resources.
Since 2012, Good Sweet Earth has been helping our neighbors grow healthier, more pollinator-friendly lawns through a variety of products and services and classes. What we haven't had is a physical home base, one place to bring it all together.
That's all about to change.
In late summer 2026, Good Sweet Earth signed the lease on a building in Holland that will soon become the Organic Lawn Center, a space built entirely around helping our West Michigan neighbors care for their lawns organically and grow pollinator-friendly yards.
What to expect
Once open, the Organic Lawn Center will be a one-stop-shop to get everything you need to grow a healthy organic lawn.
Products. Organic fertilizer, grass seed, clover & wildflower seed, soil amendments and other natural lawn resources, all in one place, all chosen because they work with your yard's ecosystem and protect the planet.
Classes. We’ll have an educational center where we’ll hold regular classes on soil health, natural pest control, pollinator-friendly landscaping, the fundamentals of organic lawn care and more, all taught by experts who have a passion for the planet.
Support. A place where someone can walk in with questions and walk out with organic solutions. Whether it’s troubleshooting a patchy lawn, curiosity about plants that support pollinators, or just looking for ideas on where to begin, this will be the place to find people who can help.
No-cost resources. The Organic Lawn Center will always have free resources available to anyone that comes in and wants to learn more. Brochures, handouts and other educational materials, plus classes and workshops. Cost will never be a barrier for someone who wants to learn more about healthy, organic lawn care.
Why We're Doing This
Good Sweet Earth exists to help our West Michigan neighbors care for their yards in ways that protect soil, support wildlife and make our earth healthier for all. Over the years, we've talked about what a healthy, organic lawn can look like. The Organic Lawn Center is where that conversation becomes a place the community can gather and learn and grow together. It gives us a permanent place to house all of our programs under one roof, and it gives our West Michigan neighbors a place to go to get the resources they need to grow an organic lawn.
Next steps
Our lease is signed, but the space needs some work before it's ready to open: paint, a deep clean, building updates, classroom furniture and other equipment. If things go as planned, we're hoping to open for classes in late October 2026, with a full grand opening in spring 2027.
As a non-profit organization, we’re in the process of raising money to offset the cost of these renovations. If you'd like to help us get there, we’d love your support with a tax-deductible donation of any amount.
